Congratulations to the Glencoe Mountain ski area in Scotland for narrowly beating out Sugarbush and Mount Snow for getting the most new snow in the entire world! Other Scottish ski resorts have seen heavy snowfall lately too, but on Wednesday, the British Ski Club reported Glencoe received almost 32 inches in 24 hours.
This beats the 30 inches that Mount Snow and Sugarbush received on Wednesday. Snow fell to a depth of 27.5 inches at CairnGorm, 24 inches at both The Lecht and Nevis Range, and 19.6 at Glenshee.
Spokesman for the Glencoe Mountain ski area Andy Meldrum said “We have had a colossal amount of snow. At car park level we’ve probably got a metre of snow. The amount of snow on the mountain is absolutely epic. We must have a metre and a half of snow up there”.
