Kellogg waffle shortage starving skiers across the country!

We all know that Kellogg’s Eggo waffles have been a part of a balanced ski bum’s breakfast since their release in  the 1970’s. Although about 3 months ago, to a skier’s dismay, it was announced that there will be a 2010 shortage!

According to USA Today, “Kellogg says there will be a nationwide shortage of its popular Eggo frozen waffles until next summer [2010] because of interruptions in production at two of the four plants that make them.”

Thus, we are forced to ration. Luckily, with this news, Eggo connoisseurs everywhere got news of this waffle apocalypse and set to work stocking their freezers.

My fellow ski bud, Alex (we will call him Alex as to avoid future issues) has taken the liberty upon himself to buy out his local grocer in Eggos to ration among his favorite friends. Which is proving to be a sweet, sweet power trip.

In light of the situation, I recommend you do the same (if there is still time). It looks like professional snowboarder, Danny Davis is going to have to stick with his Totino’s pizza sponsorship!

There you have it fellow ski bums. Leggo my Eggo!

And yes, it is across the board on flavors so make sure to diversify while stocking your ski house bomb shelter.
