The racers waited and then they waited some more.  After four-and-a-half hours, FIS officials canceled Friday’s World Cup super combined because of high winds.  Vonn leads the super combined standings by 10 points, but there has only two super combined races completed this year.  Officials may combine the downhill and slalom at next week’s World Cup Finals in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

The rest of the weekend’s schedule in Crans-Montana (Swizerland) remains the same.  There is a downhill on Saturday and a super G on Sunday.  Vonn has already rapped up the super G title, her second-in-a-row.  The big prize is the overall title, which Vonn leads by 137 points over Maria Riesch.
