How Lindsey Vonn and Ellen DeGeneres are helping Haiti

Lindsey Vonn is teaming up with comedienne/actress/hostess Ellen DeGeneres to help the earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.

On March 2nd, Lindsey went on Ellen’s show as part of her post-medal winning Olympics media tour. On the show, Ellen gave Lindsey a pair of Head skis and Leki poles—with Ellen’s face plastered all over them! Lindsey signed the skis, and the pair decided to auction them off on ebay, with all the proceeds going to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund. The skis and poles are available for bid until 3:12 ET this Tuesday.

Earlier in the season, Vonn contributed her signed race bib from the Cortina d’Ampezzo World Cup to assist in the relief effort through an auction organized by teammate Julia Mancuso. The bib sold on eBay for $8,600. Love to see our favorite skiers being so charitable and thoughtful. Right on!
