Ski and ride the longest season in Utah for as little as $299
Snowbird, Utah – Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort is currently offering an unlimited spring season pass through the end of the season (traditionally Memorial Day Weekend, conditions permitting).
Skiers and riders can enjoy Utah’s longest spring skiing season with the $499 spring pass. Snowbird will also be offering an additional spring pass starting April 1 that will sell for $299. Spring passes can be purchased at the Snowbird ticket office or by calling 801-933-2215 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily or visiting www.snowbird.com.
Last season, Snowbird offered skiing and riding until May 31. The Utah resort has received 340 inches of snowfall for 2009/10 (including a 24-inch storm late last week, video footage of which can be found at www.youtube.com/snowbirdskiresort) with a mid-mountain snow depth of 101 inches. The New York Times recently mentioned Snowbird as a top spring skiing destination.
Notable Spring Events at Snowbird:
Junior freeskiing nationals, March 13-14 – An action-packed competition catering to up-and-coming athletes, the Junior Freeskiing Nationals has age categories for girls and boys, ages 12-14 and 15-17. The Junior Freeskiing Tour is IFSA sanctioned, providing credible judging and cumulative points standings throughout the competitive season.
Subaru freeskiing world championships, March 17-20 – Competitive freeskiing arrives once again at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort for the Subaru Freeskiing World Championships. The top extreme skiers from around the globe will converge at the Bird to compete for prize money. A new venue will be chosen each day with increasingly difficult terrain and optimal views for spectators.
Spring music on the plaza deck, March-May – Free live music provided by local and national bands on the Snowbird Center Plaza Deck each weekend through the end of the season, weather permitting.
Snowbird is currently offering a Ski and Stay Free package for $149/night, double occupancy that includes free lift tickets for each day of stay and a fourth night of lodging free.
