The Spread Eagle World Championships Returns!

One of the singularly unique events on the East Coast, the Spread Eagle World Championship returns to Attitash Ski Resort on Saturday, March 13.

Evoking memories of the high flying 80’s, competitors spring forth in their classic day-glo and one piece outfits, launching memorable old school, spread eagle style, jumps.  Nutcrackers, Daffys and Cossacks return to the ski slopes of Attitash as the competitors break out their best maneuvers for the judges.

Open to the public and with no entry fee, this old school competition is bound to bring you back a few decades to an era of wide sunglasses, extravagant attire and long, straight skis.

Registration is in the South Wing of the Attitash Base Lodge from 8:00 – 11:00 AM and the event starts at noon on Thad’s Choice, with prizes in this free event being awarded for the best jump in two age categories (12 and under, 13 and over) as well as for the “best dressed” competitors.

Completing the day will be some great music, with Silent Mind and Audio Kickstand scheduled to rock the afternoon away on Attitash’s famous Snow Stage.

This event is presented by Attitash Resort and sponsored by CHAOS. SMITH, KEEN, TRANSPACK,DAKINE, RED BULL AND GREENSKIWAX.
