Ski season in California unlike any other

Perhaps the number one reason you and your family should visit California is the skiing. There is perhaps no other place in the world where you can literally ski in the morning and go surfing in the afternoon. Where else but California could you enjoy a fresh pow day, only to leave and attend the world’s hottest movie premiere in the same day? California’s geography truly offers something unique. Not to mention the ski resorts themselves are top notch. Visit Mammoth Mountain in the Eastern Sierras and learn why that’s such a celebrity hot-spot. If you’re not into “trendy”, hit up the state’s hidden gems, like Mount Shasta and Yosemite. If you don’t ski or snowboard, have no fear. Visitors can dog sled, ice skate or try the new sport of kite skiing. In the non-wintery months, all of these California mountains offer the best hiking and biking imaginable. You can’t beat California’s weather—we get snow in the winter, although it never gets too cold, and the summers lasts forever. And oh, those summer nights…
