The downhill crash in Kvitfjell, Norway that ended Andrew Weibrecht’s break-out season will now send the 24-year-old to the operating table. The Winter Olympics bronze medalist separated his shoulder after slamming into the safety netting. Tomorrow Weibrecht will have the shoulder operated on.
Weibrecht will be in a sling for six weeks, but Lake Placid’s finest should be back to 100% health well before the start of the U.S. Ski Team’s summer ski camps.
The bravest of the brave are downhill ski racers. All hail Andrew Weibrecht!
