1998 Olympic gold medalist Nikki Stone will be signing copies of her new book, When Turtles Fly tomorrow evening at Dolly’s Bookstore on Main Street in Park City, Utah. The event runs from 5 to 7 PM and Stone will donate 25% of book sale proceeds to the American Cancer Society.
When Turtles Fly is a collection of motivational and inspirational stories from greats like Lindsey Vonn, Shaun White, Tommy Hilfiger and Steve Young among many others, illustrating ways to succeed in spite of all odds. Stone herself knows a thing or two about shining under pressure, as she won her Olympic gold medal shortly after suffering from severe back and shoulder injuries. Stone became the first American woman to win Olympic freestyle aerials gold, and is still the only one to have won even a medal.
Stone continues to shine as a motivational speaker and Olympic ‘coach,’ helping others to find their strength and be their very best. If you can’t make it to Dolly’s on March 13, pick up a copy of When Turtles Fly and get inspired. You’ll read it and reap.
