Overall World Cup winner Swiss Ammann beats defending champ

the Overall World Cup. Winner Simon Ammann of Switzerland won the final ski jump World Cup event of the season at Oslo, Norway, on Sunday.

Ammann scored 267.7 points on Sunday with jumps of 135.5 and 124.5 meters. Second-place was Adam Malysz of Poland wth 128.5 and 136.5 jumps totalling 258.7. Andreas Kofler of Austria came in third with 251.5 points, 134.0 and 126.0 jumps.

At the Vancouver Olympics Ammann won gold on both normal and large hills, giving him a total of 4 Olympic medals. He finished with 1,649 points Sunday.

Defending champion Gregor Schlierenzauer of Austria took second-place overall with 1,368 points despite finishing 12th place on Sunday.
