World’s shortest man dies

21-year-old He Pingping from Mongolia, the world’s shortest man, is dead today. His family called the death unexpected, as he had shown no previous signs of bad health. Pingping measured 30 inches tall, 2.5 feet, and was declared the world’s shortest man by the Guinness Book of World Records.

He had been traveling in Rome when he felt chest pains. “We just did not expect this bad news,” his sister He Lihua said.

“Pingping went to Italy… and he called us every day saying he wasn’t eating well and that he missed us.”

“Unfortunately we cannot go there and we can only wait for his body to come back,” He added.

Pingping was an endearing man who was loved everywhere he went. As we were told of this story, some of our sources claimed he enjoyed visiting the Alshan Alpine Skiing Resort on the border of Inner Mongolia and Mongolia itself. Whether or not he had special skis made for him and was able to head down any runs was left unsaid, however, Alshan is a gorgeous area in China, and perhaps he just enjoyed spending time there. This information cannot be proved.

We hope the family and friends of He Pingping can get through this sad time. Our thoughts are with you.
