Mt. Bachelor unveils spring ski plans

Due to the mind bendingly-awesome snow Mt. Bachelor, up in Oregon, has received this season (324 inches of deliciousness), they’re planning on staying open through May 16th!

After April 19th, the West Village will be the primary late season lodge and terrain accessed via the Pine Marten, Skyliner and Summit Express Chairs.

“We had positive reviews on last year’s spring operations based out of West Village rather than Sunrise so we are pleased to stick with that plan, which offers more varied terrain and an increase in total skiable acres,” explains Dave Rathbun, Mt. Bachelor’s President and General Manager. “The event calendar is packed from now until May 16 and there are usually a few more snowfalls to look forward to as well.”

Be prepared for some reduced hours starting April 19th, though. Usually this means morning and early afternoon skiing–but it depends on snow conditions and what is most likely to preserve the snowpack’s quality and duration. During spring hours, tickets go for $49 a day. Additionally, Mt. Bachelor will continue its tradition of Charity Week lift vouchers this April, and a spring season pass is also being offered for $139 for skiing after March 29, or $99 after April 19.
