This is what we love to hear! The Cataloochee Ski Area in North Carolina, the oldest ski area in the state, has decided to extend the ski season for two additional weekends! Starting March 27th, skiers and snowboarders will pay weekday rates for day skiing on the 27th, 28th, and on April 3rd and 4th. Enjoy those days from 9AM till 4:30PM.

This is only a weekend thing, so the area won’t be open during those weeks (March 22-26, March 29-April 2).

“We have decided to remain open these additional days because of the amount of snow base we continue to have as well as our continued skier interest,” said Chris Bates, Cataloochee Vice President and General Manager. “We feel there is a level of enthusiasm to ski and ride as we move into spring and we will remain open to help folks enjoy the last days of the season.”
