Well, not the hot tub part…but definitely the 80′s retro part! From April 9-11, British Columbia’s Kicking Horse Mountain Resort will be closing out the season with the Second Annual Sun Splash Funk Fest!!

In addition to the 80′s retro party, enjoy mountain bike racing on snow, a Dummy Downhill, pond skimming and more!

During the 80′s retro party on April 9th, prizes will be given to the people who sport the best retro gear. That night, head to the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant for a Brew Master’s Dinner with Big Rock Brewery and an Untapped Musical performance by Shane Philip.

Steve Paccagnan is President and General Manager of Kicking Horse. He explains the whole weekend “is all about the sun, patios, music and good laughs”.

The Snow Mountain Bike race is sure to be an awesome time. It’s the Melt Freeze Cup, and it’ll be happening under the Catamount Chair at 11:30 on Saturday morning. The fastest racers will get cool prizes. After that it’s the Dummy Downhill at 2PM where the public and businesses are encouraged to craft up a snow sliding creation to send down the course and over the jump with points for the best crash and biggest laughs. Family and open classes are available with prizes from KHMR, Coca-Cola, Rossignol, Wrangler Clothing and Big Rock Brewery.

Capping off the weekend on Sunday, enjoy a Modified GT snow race under the Catamount Chair, followed by the 2nd Annual Kicking Horse Mountain Resort Slush Cup at 2PM—where you wear a costume and skim across a 70-foot pond!
