Shaun White marshmallow peep diorama a top entry in the Washington Post Peeps Diorama Contest

This is great. In the Washington Posts’ fourth annual Washington Post Peeps Diorama Contest, more than 1,100 marshmallow-clad decorations were entered and vied for the prize. Only one could win, and only 38 could be featured in the online gallery. We’re pleased to see that this beautiful and hysterical creation made it as a semi-finalist! We especially love the “Peepcouver 2010″.

From the Post: “Shaun White basks in the glory of his ‘half-peep’ triumph with his peeps looking on,” writes Mary Jo Ondrejka of Reston. “Never ones to miss a prime photo-op, and no longer welcome in Washington’s elite social circles, the Salahis sneak into Shaun’s “NpeepC” network coverage at the Vancouver 2010 Olympeeps. Just a few photos to spice up their Facebook page.” Ondrejka created this “Olympeep Crashers” diorama along with Margaret Hartka of Parkton and Bryn Farrar of Fairfax.”

Nice job artists! Very creative stuff.
