It’s April Fools’ Day, so you have to be wary of what you read on the internet today. False news stories and harmless hoaxes are sure to be looming around all of your favorite websites. But you won’t find any tomfoolery here, skiers and riders, just the straight facts. Are you suspicious, yet? Don’t be. Okemo plans to be open through April 11, so plan at least one, if not two or three more spring-skiing trips up before it is hasta la vista for summer.

Today is our April Fool Food Drive. If you donate at least three non-perishable food items to either the Clock Tower or Jackson Gore Base Areas, you will ski or ride all day for only $10! We’re not fooling around. All food donated will be distributed to local food pantries to help the Okemo Valley community. Ski or ride all day for a good cause; it doesn’t get any better than that!

The hints of a fine spring day are all around this morning: chirping birds, warm breezes, clear skies and shimmering slopes. Once the clock strikes 9 a.m. we will be heading out on 87 trails covering 476 acres of varied terrain. Six lifts will be spinning us up, including 3 high-speed quads. The Okemo Parks Crew has four terrain parks packed with features for all ability levels. The Ross Powers Superpipe is open and ready for your sweet moves. Expect classic spring conditions today as warm temperatures and plentiful sunshine soften the snow. We will be enjoying high temperatures that just keep rising until they top out at about 60 to 65 degrees at the base! Also, the sun will be shining to make it feel even warmer, so lather on the sunscreen and go, go, go!

Late-season ticket pricing is now in effect with an adult, full-day lift ticket costing only $55! As the end of the snowsports season approaches, please stay tuned to the Operational Updates for Spring which can be found by following the link above the photo of the day.

With temperatures expected to near 80 degrees this weekend, the scene is set for our annual Okemo Slush Cup and the Killarney Splash for Cash! The spring shenanigans will be occurring at the Jackson Gore Base Area this Saturday, April 3. Registration is from 8-10 a.m. inside the Jackson Gore Roundhouse. Spectators are welcome; the more the merrier!

We just released some incredibly affordable spring ski-and-stay packages. Rates are as low as $52.25 per person, per day so don’t miss out on your chance to enjoy the benefits of spring skiing and slopeside living.

Stay connected with Okemo Mountain Resort all year through social networking. Your favorite mountain is on Facebook and Twitter, and offers exclusive updates and deals to fans and followers.

Ten dollar lift tickets, over 470 acres of open terrain, 65-degree weather, sunny skies … I know what you’re thinking. But we promise, this is all the truth! Come on out and see for yourself. We’ll see you on the slopes!
