30th Annual Sun Valley Tele Ski race hosts Hawaiian Nationals

It’s called the Hawaiian Nationals…but there’s actually skiing going on. How? Well, the event isn’t held in Hawaii, it’s in Sun Valley, on Baldy! It’s a fun and entertaining tradition in Sun Valley, and it’s a great way for the area to say goodbye to the ski season. People dress up in costume, and it’s a good time all around.

No alpine skiers are allowed, it’s a strictly telemark event. Registration is at Warm Springs Lodge between 9 and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Races take place on Cozy at 11 a.m. All participants can join in a telemark parade at 3 p.m. at the top of Baldy. followed by a tailgate party.
