They were two Aussi teens on a ski holiday in Vail. Luke Carroll and Anthony Prince came up with a super bright idea while riding the chairlift. They’d storm the Vail bank wearing ski masks and goggles, flee with the money, ride the chairlift to the top of the mountain, and snowboard on home… all the way to Oz.
Yep, that’ll work.
But, it didn’t. ABC news in Oz profiles the two bank heisters. They’ve dubbed the two “Dumb & Dumber.”
When stuffing the money into pillow cases, the teller asked whether they wanted to carry $1 bills.
“He was like ‘shut up, put everything in there, shut up’,” she said.
“And I remember thinking ‘you guys are so stupid, you want to carry like $5,000 in $1 bills’.”
They could not physically carry the money they walked out with.
