It was quite a scary scene in Iceland early Wednesday morning, as a volcano eruped beneat the Eyjafjallajokull glacier and 800 people had to be evacuated from the neighboring area. Everyone is said to be safe, and scientists are currently surveying the ara by air so they can try and see what has happened. So far, they have seen that the eruption created a large hole in the glacier, and flooding is the bigger concern over lava. Since the volcano is under the glacier, it is melting it and rivers close to the glacier will start rising. The glacier is said to be the sixth-biggest in the country.
