The Swedish men’s alpine ski team can say goodbye to their coach of three years, Thomas Stauffer. Today, the 41-year-old said he was offered another “sports challenge”, but didn’t give any further details. From 2007-2009, Stauffer led both the men and the women, and after 2009 just led the men.

One of Stauffer’s proudest accomplishments includes coaching Andre Myhrer to the bronze medal at the Vancouver Olympic Games earlier this year. This was the first Swedish alpine medal in 22 years.

Best of luck with your next endeavor Mr. Stauffer!
