Vote with your skis and help prove the economy won’t keep skiers down

Hey guys, want to show this recession who’s boss? If about 1,000 more people visit the Sun Valley ski area before season’s end, that will bring the number of skiers for the season to 400,000, surpassing 6 out of the last 10 years. Dave Chase of Sun Valley online received this anonymous message:

“Vote with your skis! And show Sun Valley how much we love spring skiing. And how much we appreciate Tim Silva’s new management. He had a goal this first year of hitting 400,000 skier days and we’re just a thousand or so away… Come make a difference and ski our way to the end of a great season and even better future…!

Oh yea, the skiing is epic right now too!

I know it’s a big sacrifice but for the good of the community, get out and ski! Surpassing 400,000 skier days would mean that even with a relatively low snow year and an economy still having difficulties that it surpassed 6 out of the last 10 years in skier day count. Not bad. Judging by my personal experience, I bet a lot of it was on Dollar with their dramatically improved fun factor for kids. Terrain park, skier cross course, huge jumps, pond skim, rail jams, etc. kept Dollar fun all season long. Hats off to Tim Silva and his team! If you liked what you saw, add your comments below to encourage even more in the future.

I’m already looking forward to what’s in store this summer at Dollar and on Baldy.”
