If you are planning to travel to or around Europe in the near future, then you travel plans may be on hold for awhile, as weather experts predicted today that the volcanic ash would affect the region beyond this weekend.  Scientists also said that it is to early to predict just when the volcano in Iceland would stop ejecting ash, which means thousands of flights could be grounded over the next few days.  And, while the ash cloud mainly covered North and Western Europe yesterday, winds are now pushing it further north and east, and it is now forecast to cover parts of Russia, Finland, and Poland.
