OK, we’re freaking out over here. Haiti, Chile, Japan, Southern California, China….and now, Papa New Guinea has been hit with an earthquake today.
The tremor was of 6.3-magnitude, and luckily so far there are no reports of injuries or deaths. No damages have been reported either.
It struck at 9:15 a.m. Sunday morning local time, 7:15 p.m. E.T. around our parts. The epicenter was 20 miles east of Lae, Papa New Guinea, and 185 miles north of the capital (Port Moresby). It had a depth of 41.1 miles.
Is this the end of the world?? Better strap on those skis and get as many runs in as possible before it’s too late!!
