The Icelandic volcano eruption, which had slowed in the last few days, has strengthened today, and with that has created a new ash cloud that is heading toward the UK.  According to the UK’s National Air Traffic Service, the “latest information shows that the situation is worsening in some areas…”  6.8 million passengers have already been affected by the delay in air traffic due to the original ash cloud, and the plan was to partially reopen the skies in Europe to air traffic.  Officials said that the situation is likely to change overnight, as the new ash cloud is hovering at 15,000 feet up in the air.
