OK, now we’re officially peeing our ski pants. What is going on here? Haiti, China, Japan, California, Indonesia, Spain, Chile…earthquakes have been popping up all over the world in the last year. It seems like 2 weeks don’t go by without another report.
Well, we have another report.
Today, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake has hit the Samoa Islands region. It struck 123 miles from the Samoa islands about 19 miles below the surface. Thankfully, no tsunami warning has been issued.
Police in the Samoan capital, Apia, say there are no reports of death, injury or damage. “We didn’t feel any earthquake,” an officer, who declined to be named, said.
We’re thankful nothing bad happened as a result of this quake, but still…what is going on beneath our planet? Who’s next??
