Congratulations to awesome skier Jen Hudak, for being honored as the AFP Women’s 2010 Superpipe Champion! She beat out three-time X Games gold medalist Sarah Burke and two-time AFP Overall Women’s Champ Roz Groenewoud for this title, and should be very happy with her efforts.

Jen has had an amazing season, earning gold medals at the X Games and coming in second place at the Winter Dew Tour, to name a few accolades. “It feels amazing to be named the overall Superpipe Champ,” says Hudak. “It is always nice to be recognized by your sport. I’ve worked really hard for a long time on both the physical and mental components of this sport and I was finally able to put it all to use this year,” she continued. “Consistency was certainly what made it all happen for me.”

Behind Jen Hudak, the top five on the 2009-2010 AFP Women’s Superpipe rankings were as follows: Rosalind Groenewoud (CAN) in 2nd, Sarah Burke (CAN) in 3rd, Anais Caradeux (FRA) in 4th and Megan Gunning (CAN) in 5th.

Jen recognized that the competition is getting deeper than it ever has before. “There are certainly more girls skiing pipe now than when I started. And certainly at a higher level”, she admitted. Despite saying that, Jen was able to beat out the stiff competition and take this title.

Congrats Jen!
