Four times as many Britons injured while gardening than while skiing

People freak out all the time about the risks and dangers of skiing…hello?! What about GARDENING!? YIKES!!

Seriously though, a new study released by Apos Therapy revealed that four times as many people in Britain have been injured while gardening than while skiing. Similarly, one in 20 people hurt themselves while making improvements to their homes, a lower injury rate than skiing.

Dr. Peter Mace said that “anyone planning to spend time gardening or decorating this weekend should remember that they may be using muscle groups and joints they haven’t exercised in a long while”.

It seems the problem with this study is that much more people garden or improve their homes than ski. Right? Is that a valid point, or are we missing something?

Whatever the case, now when your friends lecture you on ski safety, you can just say, “Hey, at least I’m not gardening. Talk about living on the edge…sheesh”.
