Huge day at Mammoth, Eddie Wall Ride Invitational, West Coast Invitational, Eagles of Death Metal Show

Posted By: The Ski Channel on May 1, 2010 11:14 am

It’s a beautiful morning at Main. The sun is shining bright, the clouds are still in the sky and it feels like spring. And that’s only part of the reason everyone is stoked around Main lodge — today is one of the most anticipated events of the season: The 2010 West Coast Invitational!

New to the event this year is the Eddie Wall Ride Invitational,  which takes place on Lower Broadway from noon-3:00pm. Come early, grab a seat on the Main Lodge sundeck and watch the riders take on this crazy wall ride set up. The prize pot is $5,000!

But the action doesn’t stop there. Make your way to The Village this evening for an awesome line-up of action starting at 7pm with DJ Slipmatt spinning live at the WCI Village Rail Jam, which kicks off at 8:15pm!

Pro snowboarders will battle it out on the signature three-story high jib set up for the one of a kind, $10,000 cash box!  This year, the WCI cash box is going to be more eccentric than ever, so get ready with your camera!

Also happening tonight -  the WCI After-Party/Mammoth Concert Series! Take the Bus/Gondola up to Canyon Lodge and see the Eagles of Death Metal live in concert. Doors Open at 9:30pm; 21+ only. Tickets are $5 in advance until 5pm today from Main Lodge Tickets, the Mammoth Retail Trailer and any MMSA lodging property front desk. After that, tickets will be available at the door for $10. After the concert, take the bus back down to the Village for a night cap at Hyde Lounge before you go to bed -  Hyde closes at 2am.

Yeah, it’s a lot. No one’s gonna judge you if you have to sneak in a quick disco nap this afternoon.Other Mammoth Happenings
