Although it appears the marriage of Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren may be over, the battle for custody of the children will not be ugly.
The golfer and his spurned wife do not appear to be successfully saving their marriage, says a source. However they are doing whatever it takes to make the process as harmless as possible for the daughter, Sam, 2, and son Charlie, 14 months.
The source said “they have not been getting along as a married couple but there has been no conflict over the children. They both want what’s best for the kids. The kids are close to both of them and neither Tiger nor Elin wants a battle.”
Elin was reportedly very upset that Tiger returned to golf without saving the marriage first. She was also furious to learn recently that one of Tiger’s mistresses was a college student who lived down the street from them.
“The marriage doesn’t look like it’s going to make it but at least there’s not going to be a custody battle. When they are both at home, they pass the kids back and forth without any arguing”, the source continued. “They’ve both done everything they can to make it as easy as possible on the children”.
