Hancock, MA – Jiminy Peak ski resort in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts is adding a new summer attraction called Aerial Adventure Park – an elevated challenge course filled with elements for all ability levels.

“With Aerial Adventure Park, we can give kids and adults a new way to experience the mountain,” said Betsy Strickler, Director of Marketing at Jiminy Peak. “It’s a state-of-the-art installation with challenges and features that are perfect for many ages and ability levels – even corporate groups who want to learn leadership and teamwork skills.”

The new park was designed and installed by John Ireland, who has completed several such projects, each of them uniquely constructed to fit the environment. The Jiminy Peak installation features five individual elevated courses for different ability levels. Each course varies in terms of elevation and the strenuousness of the challenges. There are rope bridges and ladders, cargo nets, zip lines, and climbing challenges.

All of the courses are self-guided and every person is snapped into a guide line. Participants must be at least 48 inches tall.

Just a few steps away from Aerial Adventure Park is Mountain Adventure Park, featuring the Jiminy Peak Mountain Coaster, with twists and turns that take riders down the mountainside at speeds up to 23 mph. There is also an Alpine Slide and 10 other attractions including Kids Zone, EuroBungy trampolines, a Climbing Wall, and more.

Visitors are able to buy tickets separately for Aerial Adventure Park and Mountain Adventure Park – or they can buy a combo ticket that allows access to both attractions.

Jiminy representatives are advising visitors to reserve a spot for Aerial Adventure Park due to capacity constraints, either online at or at the resort Ticket Office.

The new Aerial Adventure Park attraction will open June 19.
