Lake Tahoe ski area sued by family of man who died in chairlift accident

On August 31st, 51-year-old Mark Dickson fell from Heavenly Mountain Resort’s Tamarack chairlift. It became entangled with a rope retrieval line from the resort’s new ZipRider zip line rider. His wife, Rebecca was seriously injured in the accident.

Now, the remaining Dickson family is suing Heavenly Mountain Resort, Terra-Nova LLC and Sampson Rope Technologies.

Rebecca, Patrick and Bryan Dickson seek unspecified damages in connection with the Mark’s death.

No officials from Heavenly have commented on this matter.
