Wowza! Congratulations to ‘Aspen girl’ Christy Mahon! She became the first woman to ever climb and ski all of Colorado’s 54 peaks over 14,000 feet in elevation!!

Besides being the only woman to do this, she is a member of an exclusive, elite club of only seven people who have skied the high peaks of the state. Four of those people are from Aspen: Lou Dawson, Chris Davenport, Jordan White, and Christy’s husband, Ted Mahon.

Christy began her journey with Box Creek Cirque on May 7, 2004. She just finished her quest two days ago by descending Capitol Peak’s east face. We’re so proud of this woman, this was truly an awe-inspiring feat!
