Women’s ski jumpers, private parts and FIS have love in

When the powers at be decided that Women’s Ski Jumping couldn’t make the Olympics (yes there were people in the industry who have said that the Women shouldn’t jump because it could injure their vaginas and other reproductive organs) they probably didn’t expect Deedee Corradini, et al filing a lawsuit, making headlines, etc.

Well the Olympics came and went with no Lindsey Van, no Sarah Hendrickson, no women’s jumping.  But think of all the vaginas that were saved?  Well vaginas be damned, it looks like the jumpers and their fragile reproductive organs are getting some traction as FIS has decided to create a women’s ski jumping World Cup series for the 2011/2012 season.

FIS is also asking the IOC to add women’s ski jumping in the 2014 Sochi Winter Games.  Good on you FIS!  What could be better in life than flying hotties?  How many world ski federation CFO’s are scrambling to fund another line item now?

In the spirit of cooperation, The Ski Channel is producing a series of vagina shock absorbers called vaginabsorbsers that we will be selling for $9.95 on street corners of Sochi.

One issue we see here at The Ski Channel is Lindsey confusion if the sport makes anymore Lynsey’s famous.

  • Lindsey Vonn – ski racer
  • Lynsey Dyer – big mountain freeskier
  • Lindsey Jacobellis – snowboard cross
  • Lindsey Van – ski jumper
