Today marks the official launch of summer, and what better way to celebrate the changing of the seasons than a trip to Maine-based resort, Sunday River.

Sunday River will kick-off their summer offerings this upcoming Friday June 25th, with the opening of their famed mountain bike, hiking, and golf facilities. Also available will be scenic Chondola rides to take in the beauty of the surrounding areas.

For those Sunday River summer vacationers looking to switch up their usual run of activities, be sure to check out the all-new geocashing. Geocashing will test your GPS skills and allow you to become an on-mountain sleuth by unlocking 11 hidden coordinates located on various hiking spots.

August will also see the introduction of zip lining to the resort, as five zip lines ranging from 100-feet to 300-feet in length will open near South Ridge Base Lodge. This brand new high-speed experience will take you across natural ravines and other man-made obstacles.

For more details on summer at Sunday River, be sure to check out their official website. Sunday River is open Friday through Sunday, 10 – 4 p.m. through Columbus Day Weekend.
