As the summer season kicks off at many mountain resorts, Winter Park has joined the ranks of resorts currently offering HD helmet camera rentals to their customers. This summer at Winter Park’s mountain bike park, California-based company eMotionCam will bring their HD video technology to resort patrons.

Self-service kiosks will allow bikers to rent a helmet cam for $44.95 per day and shoot up to two hours of HD footage. When the day wraps, the camera is returned and the footage is quickly burned to a free DVD-ROM or optional USB stick. Through the use of these kiosks, Winter Park and other resorts are trying to tap into the ever-growing social networking world where video sharing is becoming increasingly popular with resort-goers.

eMotionCam has already set up kiosks in Jackson Hole, Breckenridge, Vail, Lionshead, Beaver Creek, Mammoth, Heavenly, Squaw Valley and Kirkwood among others. In Winter Park, the kiosk will be located in the Trestle Bike Park Shop, which also serves as the one-stop ticketing and equipment center of the resort.
