‘Friday Afternoon Club’ brings affordable luxury to Stowe Mountain Lodge

These days twenty dollars doesn’t last nearly as long as it used too, particularly when spending at ski resorts. Having a twenty dollar bill in your wallet can barely pay for a hamburger sans toppings and a drink for that chunk of change on the mountain. However, there are some deals to be had out there if you are willing to dig deep enough, or simply read The Ski Channel for hot tips.

One of the more amazing deals to come out recently has been at Vermont-based resort Stowe Mountain, who started offering a deal known as  the “Friday Afternoon Club.” While the name might sound like such a club would require a huge fee to join similar to a country club, Stowe has actually come up with one of the most accessible social outings currently available at ski resorts anywhere.

For that same twenty dollars you could spend on your sub-par lunch, a “Friday Afternoon Club” guest can enjoy a hand or foot treatment at the spa, a glass of wine, artisan cheeses and great company. This stellar deal will be available each Friday from 5pm-7pm at the Stowe Mountain Lodge, and best of all it doesn’t even require making an appointment!
