Celebrate Canada Day 2010 with Whistler Blackcomb

Canada will mark its 143rd birthday this Thursday, July 1st, and Whistler Blackcomb is offering a host of awesome activities to celebrate Canada Day 2010. This event will be free, and welcome for families and children of all ages.

Activities wil include:

*9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Community Pancake Breakfast – Get your Canadian-style breakfast at the Upper Village, hosted by Whistler Community Services Society and the food is by donation.

*Between 9am – Noon Blackcomb Base Adventure Zone is offering 30% off all activities!

*10 a.m. Peak Performance Dance Force, Upper Village Featuring two dance numbers by local Whistler dancers that are sure to get your toes tapping and the audience on their feet. You’ll groove right along to the infectious talent of these young dancers, age 8-18.

*12 p.m. Starting at the Town Plaza the Canada Day Parade (including Olympians & Paralympians) will wind through Village Stroll ending at Mountain Square.

*2 p.m. Don’t miss the Après Parade Party in Village Square featuring a FREE concert from Spirit of the West!

7:30 p.m. An Evening at Rebagliati Park – The FREE evening includes a line-up of Whistler’s best acoustic performers, a community mural and a FREE outdoor film screening with fireworks at 10:15 p.m. (*based on the current forest fire danger rating). Bring your blankets!

6 p.m. – late – FREE Whistler Transit in Whistler only.
