Michigan ski spot, Cannonsburg Ski Area, has been bought by a Potesky, MI lawyer after a three decade run by previous owners.

James Wynn bought the resort as part of a package deal that also included Arnold Transportation, a family-run ferry boat business. The Grand Rapids Press said that original owners of the ski area, the Brown family, had been looking for a buyer to take over the long-standing family businesses as later Brown generations have since moved on to different projects.

No immediate change in operations is anticipated at Cannonsburg, an area that sits on 270 acres in Cannon Township.

This transaction marks the latest in a chain of resorts sold this summer including Mountain Creek in New Jersey, and Cranmore in New Hampshire.
