Woodward Camps have been setting the bar for action sports camps since the late 70s, and have grown considerably in size and scope since the opening of their original location in Woodward, PA. Locations have since sprung up in Wisconsin, California, Colorado, and most recently China. However, unlike the other three locations, the Colorado campus has a bit of a different focus.
Woodward at Copper is the first indoor/outdoor ski and snowboard on the planet with a focus on terrain park and pipe progression. The 20,000 sq. ft. Woodward at Copper Barn gives campers access to Snowflex® jumps, foam pits, a spring floor, fly-bed trampolines and indoor skateboard features. Summer Camps also include access to skiing/riding on-snow in Woodward at Copper’s summer terrain park.
When Woodward at Copper campers are not riding the summer terrain park or learning new skills in the Barn, they can participate in any of the amazing recreational activities that are all included with a camp session. The activities include: bumper boats, go-karts, create-a-skate, climbing wall, The Digglers, the Quad Power Jump, mini-golf, Ping-Pong, Guitar Hero, pool, bocce, geocaching, croquet, horseshoes, hiking, scenic chairlift rides, skateboarding and many more. Below are some examples of the camper’s favorite activities (besides skiing and snowboarding).
Explore the West Lake side of Copper on bumper boats. Located right in the heart of the Village at Copper, this is a great way for the campers to beat the summer heat.
Race enthusiasts can rev up their engines at Copper’s Ten Mile Speedway, the only go-kart track in Summit County, and see who is the fastest in the group. This activity is fun for all ages. Race your friends, coaches, pros, or your family.
Skateboarding and Create-a-skate
One of the campers’ favorite activities is skateboarding. There is no lack of places to skate at Copper – the Woodward at Copper Cage has a mini skate bowl, the Barn contains a 2 ft. mini-mini ramp, a 5 ft. mini-ramp, a 6 ft. to 8 ft. bowl, and a 1600 sq. ft. street course. In addition, the campers can opt to go on a skate park tour every week to local and regional Skate Parks around Colorado. Campers can also opt for Create-a-skate, where they can decorate their own personalized skate board deck. All this skating is included with a week at camp.
