Utah ski area Park City Mountain Resort, and their parent company, Powdr Corp, announced Thursday they have appointed Jenni Smith to the position of Resort President and General Manager. Smith’s promotion comes on the heels of the retirement of Peter Curtis, who previously held the same title.
“Jenni has been instrumental in the success of Park City Mountain Resort,” said John Cumming, chief executive officer of Powdr Corp. “Given her tenure with our company, there is no one better suited to lead the Park City Mountain Resort team into the future and continue the significant growth it enjoyed under Peter Curtis’s leadership. We are incredibly grateful for Peter’s long-standing commitment and devotion to Park City Mountain Resort and wish him well in his retirement.”
Smith has held a variety of increasingly significant roles in operations and administration at Park City Mountain Resort since 1980, during which time she developed a far-reaching knowledge of the ski and snowboard industry. During her career, Smith has been responsible for teams across the Resort, including risk management, human resources, resort administration, food and beverage, retail, and development.
