As Mammoth Mountain today makes its final curtain call on an amazing winter season, one Tahoe-based ski area to the north is stepping in to provide relief for those people who can never get enough time on the slopes. Boreal Mountain Resort, located near Truckee, CA, recently announced plans to re-open for skiing and riding from 10 am to 2pm on Saturday, July 10 and also July 11.

Visitors will be treated to a full terrain park setup, which will be accessed via the Castle Peak Quad. Lift tickets will run $20 each day for the resort’s “July Shred Fest.” The resort will accept Boreal Mountain Resort 2010-11 season passes during this time, and will be available for purchase during the day.
