Pro skier Tanner Hall has officially made his triumphant return to the ski world. After more than 13 months spent watching skiing’s rapid progression from the sidelines, Tanner will finally click into his skis once again to take part in the Armada Skis signature week starting today and running until July 12th at Windells Camp. To honor Tanner’s hard work and dedication to get back to skiing after such a horrific crash, check out these preview clips from his upcoming documentary entitled “Like a Lion.”

The film is due for a Fall 2010 release, and will definitely be one you won’t want to miss.

For a sneak peek at the biopic, check out these upcoming scenes from Inspired Media Concepts:

During this clip we find Tanner skiing around Squaw Valley during what he labels as one of his last sessions without the use of twin-tip skis. The moment is pivotal as Tanner, an accomplished mogul skier at the time, decided freestyle skiing was the direction he wanted to pursue and felt this growing segment was the future of the sport.

If we fast-forward a few years, we find Tanner skiing during one of Freeze Magazine’s (RIP) legendary “Parkasaurus” spring photo shoots held at Snow Summit in nearby Big Bear, CA. Like any true icon, Tanner has shifted his game numerous times throughout his career to dominate several aspects of freestyle skiing. One of the many “claim to fame” moments that people often forget about Tanner was his jib prowess during his career. This clip takes us to when Tanner showed an example of those superb jib skills, as he performed the first Switch 450 railslide to 270 out, a move that was light years ahead of its time.

For this last clip, we begin to see Tanner really growing as an all-around skier. After conquering mogul fields and terrain parks worldwide, Tanner was hungry for more. During an outing to Cordova, Alaska, Tanner would enjoy open powder faces with fellow Armada skier JP Auclair on a trip that would magnify Tanner’s love for powder and big-mountain skiing, something that remains a growing focus to this day.

Once again, be sure to be on the look out for the release of “Like a Lion” this fall. For more clips and other videos, check out the Inspired Media Concepts page on Vimeo.
