The Sammy Carlson Invitational didn’t go exactly as planned. Bummer weather for two days in a row forced the crew to cancel the contest element of the event, but the world class group of skiers would NOT be denied out of skiing the amazing jump that Sammy and Windells tirelessly built and perfected for the event. The 110-foot beast of a jump was promptly sessioned once the weather cleared, and was subjected to sunset video shoots, helicopters included.
As I predicted, triples were the name of the game coming out of the contest, as Sammy Carlson has unveiled one of the first triple flips to hit ski slopes. Yes, people have done triple backflips and the like before, but this trick marks a monumentally different step in the right direction. Watch the ridiculous style on this stunt, as we are treated to a little look into the future of freestyle skiing. Enjoy.
