Frontier Airlines will provide daily winter service between Denver International Airport (DIA) and Steamboat/Hayden Airport (HDN) with one daily roundtrip flight for the upcoming 2010-11 winter season. The move comes on the heels of Continental Airlines today announcing similar daily flights from Denver to Crested Butte.
“Frontier travelers now have convenient flight options to reach Steamboat and its incredible Champagne Powder® snow this winter from over 25 key markets across the country,” said Andy Wirth, senior vice president of sales & marketing for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation.
Frontier’s new service provides convenient connecting access from key winter vacation markets such as Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, New York, Omaha, Orlando, Phoenix and Washington, D.C. to name just a few. The Frontier flight will be available for sale to customers beginning July 11, 2010, and currently is scheduled to run between Dec. 16th and April 10th.
Flights will depart DIA each day at 12:05 p.m. and arrive at 12:55 p.m. Departing flights out of Steamboat will fly out daily at 1:30 p.m. before getting into Denver at 2:25 p.m.
Frontier’s Steamboat/Hayden service will be flown by the 99-passenger Embraer 190 aircraft fleet. Customers on board these aircraft will enjoy comfortable leather seating in a two-by-two configuration. The Company’s Embraer 170/190 fleet will also be outfitted with Gogo in-flight internet service by the end of 2010.
