Spyder Active Sports, the world’s leading skiwear and mountain-based apparel brand, has for over 30 years created progressive products that dominate everywhere from the race circuit to Winter X Games podiums. With a roster of athletes stocked full of world class talents such as “Team of One” star Errol Kerr, 2010 Dumont Cup winner Alex Schlopy, the always entertaining park slayer Colby James West, and the U.S. Ski Team; it’s no surprise these individuals would align themselves with a company that consistently delivers top-notch performance.

However, part of being a progressive brand comes from equally progressive thinking, and Spyder has certainly demonstrated no shortage of that with a new movement to unite the brand’s social media presence on Facebook, with a very important social cause. The Boulder, CO-based company has just announced plans to donate funds towards the amazing efforts of the Wounded Warrior Project. Most importantly, everyone with an Internet connection can help the company towards reaching this goal, as it literally takes only a few seconds to greatly improve the lives of these injured service members.

Spyder has vowed to raise $1000 for the Wounded Warrior Project through expanding their Facebook page to 10,000 members by the end of July. By becoming a “Friend” of Spyder, fans will not only be supporting a great organization, but will also become a member of a growing community of ski enthusiasts with a passion for superior product and a love for the sport.

Wounded Warrior Project, a 501c3 non-profit organization headquartered in Florida, aims to honor and empower severely injured service members through the sport of skiing. The foundation raises money, with their ultimate goal being to provide ski trips for veteran soldiers and their families to enjoy. These ski trips can have a profound effect on their road to recovery, as skiing provides both physical and mental relief for these brave individuals.

Please support this wonderful cause, and log onto www.facebook.com/spyderactivesports by July 31, 2010 and click “like” for the brand. Keep checking back, as Spyder will be posting updates and photos from the trip.
