Squaw Valley USA recently opened its new kids zip-line on Saturday, July 10th, at the California ski and snowboard resort located near Lake Tahoe.

The new attraction is designed to offer young riders feelings of high-speed flying at the mountain’s base, as the zip-line lets kids soar over the mountain on a ride that is as thrilling as it is scenic. Kids are secured into a harness, climb up to the top of the launch point and fly across the field to a safe landing 200 feet away.

The zip line is located next to the ski resort’s Funitel lift, and looks out onto the granite peaks of Red Dog and the famed KT-22.

Hours for this exciting new kids activity run daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and can accommodate kids up to 120 lbs. Tickets cost $12, with an added cost of $6 for additional zips.

This latest opening at Squaw Valley USA marks the latest addition to the resort, as last month paintball facilities were launched to the public.
