ESPY Awards prepare for nominees from ski and snowboard world

The 2010 ESPY Awards are a little under 24 hours away, and skiers and snowboarders everywhere are gearing up for the annual awards show put on by ESPN to honor the year’s top athletes and athletic achievements.

For those wondering why skiers and snowboarders are concerning themselves with the the ESPYS, clearly they aren’t aware of the love ESPN showed for the snow sports community last month by nominating 9 different skiers and boarders for awards, including 8 athletes not named Shaun White.

In fact, Saturday Night Live star and 2010 ESPY Awards host Seth Myers even recruited the likes of skier Bobby Brown (sort of) to star in a television commercial with Landon Donovan, Mark Ingram, Kobe Bryant, and Drew Brees to promote the awards show.

So be sure to tune in tomorrow to the latest installment of the ESPYS happening live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles tomorrow at 9 p.m. EST. Who knows, you just might see your favorite “High School Musical” star Zac Efron sitting next to Olympic champion skier Lindsey Vonn…

A brief recap of some skiers and boarders you might care about who are up for awards, and looking to bring home some new trophies:
