Mammoth Mountain has been proving all summer that it’s resort activities are just as fun now as they are in the winter time. Starting this weekend, things are poised to get even better with a host of additional mountain bike trails and exciting activities.

The Mammoth Mountain Bike Park is really charging through summer right now with its current slate of trails, and starting today even more are scheduled to open.

Current offerings include trails such as Off the Top, which is open with no detours, and Beach Cruiser just opened and even has a bit of mud (how often do you get to say that in Mammoth).

Downhill mountain bikers might be a bit more keen to take hot laps down Velocity and the newly opened Techno Rock. Expected to join these fine trails this weekend are trails Flow, Brake Through and Twilight Zone.

Current Mountain Bike Park Transportation:

-Bike Park Shuttle (Village to Main Lodge): 9am-5:30pm daily
-Panorama Gondola (Main Lodge to the top): 9am-4:30pm daily

In addition, the awesome Mammoth Geocaching Adventures opens this weekend on Woolly’s Escape. This two hour high-tech treasure hunt is located on the hiking trails outside of McCoy Station. Maps and details for this family-friendly activity are available at the Climb and Zip Kiosk at the Adventure Center.

With activities like these, there is no better time to escape to the majestic Eastern Sierras for a Mammoth dose of fun this weekend.
