While many “Transformers” movie fans are still mourning the departure of actress Megan Fox from the upcoming third installment, one new cast addition is sure to have the ski community smiling ear to ear.
Pro skier JT Holmes, who also ranks as one of the world’s best base jumpers and ‘birdmen’ wingsuit fliers, was among the group of stuntman selected for the movie’s recent film shoot held in Chicago. Holmes, along with 4 other wingsuit fliers, jumped from the top of what was once the world’s tallest building, before safely parachuting to the base of the busy Chicago cityscape. The base jumping sequences were shot from a front-mounted camera on the helicopter hovering the famous skyscraper.
Production details have been scarce to explain what the stunt was for exactly, so fans will have to tune in to next summer’s “Transformers 3″ to find out. “Transformers 3″ is scheduled for a July 1st, 2011 release.
