Posted By: The Ski Channel on July 23, 2010 6:09 pm

It’s no secret that working in the ski and snowboard industry is a pretty cushy gig. There’s the chance encounters with top pros and industry giants on a daily basis, the free product, VIP events, and the general feeling your “work” also happens to be your biggest life passion.

With President Obama warning today that unemployment may hover at 9% until 2012, there’s no better time to lock down a career in something you love. To make things easier, I’ve assembled a list of some of the best jobs currently available in the industry for applicants.

Want to know the biggest source of opportunity for job-seekers attempting to break into the snow sports industry? Social media and the web.

Each day, more and more ski and snowboard companies are jumping on board to expand their social media and web presence. Facebook recently hit more traffic than Google for a week in March, something that serves as a chief indicator to the direction of future business. More specifically, with snow sports companies relying extensively on hitting younger markets, it’s not surprise these channels have become top priority.

So if you think you have what it takes to dominate the web with your skills, start preparing those cover letters and resumes for these fine companies:
